Technical Work at ICT (2015-2018)
It's difficult to show off the technical art I've done in the past few years, but here's a brief description:
Mel/Python Scripting in Maya
When I arrived at ICT a lot of models were in a pretty rough state, they had come from interns, purchased online and some were scans. Many needed reworking as well as new assets.
Character rigging & python/mel scripting in Maya
Maya Model Browser & Icon Generator
I have the full version of this script for sale on creative crash. There is also a free 'lite' version.
AAfter trying to sort through lots of 3d files and figure out which ones I could import & what they looked like I got really frustrated, so I made a tool to make things easier. Whether you're perusing downloaded 3d files, organizing your 3d print files in non-native formats, going through old files or looking at models/animations files which you outsourced, this is a great little viewer that filters only shows files that you can import or open in Maya.
2017 update: Removed DXF & IGS/IGES file formats as Maya 2017/2018 no longer supports those through direct-connect.
Uses for this script:
• Organize and browse
• Downloaded models
• 3d print files
• Client files
• CAD files
• Importing lots of files into one file
If you find a bug, just list it under 'bugs' with a description and I'll fix it asap & upload a new version. I usually fix bugs within a day or two.
Installation, use and other information can be found in the included pdf help doc.
